Celeste Yim is an award-winning comedian, playwright, essayist, and good friend from Toronto, Canada.
In the recent past, VICE and Instagram have hired her for various media jobs, the historic weekly show Sunday Night Live cast her as a writer and performer, and The University of Toronto's media journal The Foolscap and sketch comedy troupe The Follies tolerated her as Editor-in-Chief and Head Writer respectively.
In 2018, Celeste was awarded "The Survivance Award" by scholar Jill Carter and selected to be a juror for The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. In 2017, she was named one of "Canada's Top 100 Most Notable Women" by Flare Magazine, a Fellow at The Second City Toronto, and "racist to whites" by a Twitter user.
Currently, Celeste is adopting a whole new personality as an MFA candidate at New York University.
